military discounts

If you or a loved one has served our country, you’ve no doubt sacrificed in ways that others haven’t, and you’ve earned, at the very minimum, a discount or two at your local company or store. Sometimes these discounts go overlooked, though, because they’re not promoted very well. We’ve done some research for you to give you a list of several common companies that have military discounts.

You certainly won’t starve with discounts at several amazing restaurants, commonly placed all across this great country that you serve. If you’re on the go and interested in some fast food, Arby’s, Chick Fil A, Subway, Taco Bell and Wendy’s all have discounts that vary by location. If you’re looking for a great spot to sit and eat for a little bit, a step above fast food but below a nice sit down restaurant? Zaxby’s, Texas Roadhouse, Sweet Tomatoes, Pizza Hut, IHOP, Cracker Barrel, Golden Corral, and Cici’s Pizza all give discounts with the presentation of a military ID. Craving sweets? Find your discounts at Cinnabon, Cold Stone Creamery, Dunkin’ Donuts, Dairy Queen, Friendlys and Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.

Clothing Stores

No matter what your style is, you’re going to find a great military discount at most of your typically middle-of-the-spectrum (price-wise) clothing stores. Stores like Express, Gap, Gander Mountain, Bass Pro Shops, Abercrombie and Fitch, Ralph Lauren and Forever 21 will hook you up with discounts of at least 10 percent off your purchase.

Traveling the country, or even the globe? You’ll find substantial discounts nearly everywhere you turn around, whether it be airline travel, hotels, or entertainment. American Airlines, Amtrak, Disney Resorts, Days and Comfort Inn’s, Hilton and Marriott Hotels, and Southwest Airlines all provide great discounts! Vacation destinations also apply discounts – Disney World, Busch Gardens, Sea World, Carnival Cruise Line, and Six Flags are all participants that provide these discounts.

Tech-y related companies also provide discounts – Apple’s discount varies, and you need to sign up for it. Dell, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft, Sprint and Verizon all provide discounts. Automotive discounts apply for parts and maintenance in most stores, as do beauty discounts, sporting goods, and health and wellness. Bottom line? If you need it, we almost can guarantee that some store, somewhere has a military discount for it.

Lesson learned? If you or a loved one is serving or has served in the military, ask about your discount and never pay full price for an item. You deserve it!
